Zambia safari
Browse tried & tested Zambian safaris
The classic Zambia safari revolves around its three heavyweight destinations: Victoria Falls and the South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi national parks. You’ll fly between destinations, usually via the capital Lusaka, with smooth-running logistics.
Zambia’s Victoria Falls offers the grand visual spectacle but it’s the country’s two best-known parks that deliver the big game. The South Luangwa is home to the best walking safaris in Africa as well as some of the healthiest concentrations of Africa’s big animals – lions, hippo, giraffe, buffalo and elephant. The predator-rich Lower Zambezi gives its visitors a chance to see the aquatic side of Africa’s wildlife – crocodiles and hippos – while on boat and canoe excursions, activities balanced by 4X4 drives and walks.
It’s also easy to combine Zambia with Botswana; the Chobe National Park is just a 2-hour drive from Victoria Falls. And if you don’t want to miss the attractions of South Africa like Cape Town and the Kruger and Sabi Sands, then it’s a straightforward connection via Johannesburg.
