Itinerary

Days 1 – 3: Elephants & Kilimanjaro
Set under the acacia trees from which it derives its name, Tortilis Camp lies just outside Amboseli National Park and even boasts its own private entrance. You’ll sit down to views of Mount Kilimanjaro from camp but it’s out in the park that you’ll get the best mountain vistas, hopefully complete with passing elephant herds. Game drives and guided walks take you into the heart of the Amboseli wildlife experience but there’s also the chance to visit a nearby school and support the local community. At camp there’s a swimming pool and wellness therapist. Your en suite accommodation is very spacious and luxurious, and there’s the option of bigger suites for families and private couples.
Days 4 – 6: A Conservation Masterpiece
Home to black rhino, big cats and elephants as well as more unusual northern Kenya animals like Grevy’s zebra, the Lewa Downs Conservancy is a conservation success story. There are only 13 tents at Lewa Camp and you’ll be in the hands of excellent guides. Game viewing is just part of what’s on offer here: you can also explore by camel and horseback, walk with your guide, or visit a local village. On the other hand, with views of Mount Kenya from your private veranda and a glittering swimming pool on hand, you may simply want to relax at camp as well.

Days 7 – 9: A Private Masai Mara Safari
Whether or not you arrive in time for the Masai Mara’s wildebeest migration, such is the scale of the wildlife in the famous Mara North Conservancy that you’ll enjoy great game sightings regardless of season. Elephant Pepper Camp is a small and luxurious camp at the heart of it all, set under shady trees and with sweeping views of the Mara plains. Extended game drives in open-sided vehicles as well as night drives and guided walks make up your safari experience; al fresco breakfasts and suppers under starlight are the culinary highlights.
Day 10: The Journey Ends
There’s time for a last game drive and breakfast in the Masai Mara before you say goodbye to Elephant Pepper Camp and fly back to Nairobi on a scheduled flight for the end of your safari. Here you’ll either connect with your onward regional flight or transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for an international flight. Alternatively, you could overnight in Nairobi and make the most of your time there to visit the city’s famous Sheldrick Wildlife Sanctuary and Giraffe Manor. Ask us for more details.
