Countries: Botswana, Zambia, South Africa
Destinations: Moremi Game Reserve, Chobe National Park, Victoria Falls Zambia, Kruger Park & Sabi Sands, Cape Town

Days 1 – 3: Moremi Magic

Scheduled flight from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport to Maun Airport in Botswana. Fly by shared charter to the Moremi Game Reserve & Camp Moremi for 3 nights on a full board basis.

The Moremi Game Reserve protects much of the Okavango Delta, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations. You’ll fly in by shared charter from Maun Airport, touching down in the Xakanaxa region, long famous for the quality of its game viewing. Hosted by the ever-friendly staff at Camp Moremi, you’ll explore the area on morning and afternoon game drives as well as by mokoro, the delta’s traditional canoe, steered by a local guide. Elephants, lions and hippo are among the heavyweights here but you’ll also be on the lookout for leopard, wild dog and rare antelope such as sable and roan.

Days 4 – 6: Land of Giants

Charter flight to Savute Safari Lodge in the Chobe National Park. Enjoy 3 nights on a full board basis.

It’s a short flight from Moremi to Savute, the central region of the Chobe National Park. It’s a much more open and drier landscape here, dominated by local waterholes and the Savute Channel. You’ll be collected at the airstrip and taken to Savute Safari Lodge, its luxurious chalets overlooking the channel itself. It’s prime big game country here and the focus is on game drives with expert guides. Predators are something of a Savute speciality as are the area’s bull elephants, enormous grey battleships that roam Savute’s woodlands. In summer, birthing impala herds and a zebra migration adds to the drama.

Days 7 – 9: The Smoke that Thunders

Charter flight to Kasane Airport on the Chobe River & an overland transfer across the border into Zambia & Tongabezi Lodge on the Zambezi River, upstream from Victoria Falls. Spend 3 nights on a full board basis.

You’ll reach Tongabezi Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River via shared air charter and overland transfer across the border into Zambia. Regarded as the discerning traveller’s choice of accommodation at Victoria Falls, Tongabezi is home to superb river-facing suites and boasts an idyllic, secluded setting a few miles upstream from hustle and bustle of the waterfall. Book yourself a massage and a private dinner before heading off to explore – not for nothing is Victoria Falls known as Africa’s Adventure Centre and you have everything from white-water rafting, bungee jumping and elephant-back safaris to choose from.

Days 10 – 12: A Private Big 5 Safari

Transfer to Livingstone Airport & a scheduled flight to Nelspruit, near the Kruger National Park. Overland transfer to Savanna Lodge, set in the Sabi Sands Private Reserve adjoining the Kruger. Enjoy 3 nights on a full board basis.

A flight to South Africa and an overland transfer from Nelspruit Airport take you to the welcoming atmosphere of Savanna Lodge in the Sabi Sands. A collection of privately-run game reserves adjoining the Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sands delivers Africa’s best Big 5 game viewing in an exclusive setting with the added advantage of being able to offer spot-lit night drives and guided walks too. You’ll enjoy tented chalet accommodation at Savanna, a well-appointed timber and thatch lodge with a pool, landscaped gardens, a gym and plenty of comfortable chairs overlooking waterholes.

Days 13 – 15: At the Heart of the V&A

Overland transfer to Nelspruit for your scheduled flight to Cape Town where you’ll be met and taken to the Victoria & Alfred Hotel at the V&A Waterfront for 3 nights on a bed & breakfast basis.

The Mother City is your final destination on this Grand Tour and you have prime position at the super-safe V&A Waterfront. The V&A Hotel lies at the heart of it all, a short stroll to the Robben Island Ferry, Two Oceans Aquarium and every shop and restaurant you could need. Take your time to settle in and plan the next few days – there is the Boulders Beach penguin colony and Cape Point to fit in as well as a trip up Table Mountain and, depending on the season, shark-cage diving and whale watching too. Be sure to sample some of the Cape’s wines on a trip to the Winelands or visit the city’s museums and historic districts on a walking tour.

Day 16: The Journey Ends

Overland transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your onward connection.

After breakfast at the V&A you’ll be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your onward connection.

Best trip I have ever been on. Highly recommend.

Would highly recommend. Safari online asked questions when booking and were efficient and knew exactly what we were looking for in terms of accommodation and animals were wanted to see. Gave advice on a few little extras with no pressure, which we did and am very grateful which make trip even more exciting. Would definitely recommend booking with them.

An incredibly well organised tour with no hassles whatsoever.

Safari Online understood our needs and was able to present us with sensible options to choose from. It was evident that this tour operator has knowledgable and experienced agents who can arrange a seemless tour. We were provided with a professional online itinary which was comprehensive and easy to use, knew exactely what to expect, and encountered no stumble blocks along the way.

It was a safari of a lifetime and exceeded all of our expectations!

Our mom grew up in Central and South Africa so we had visited the continent many times. My sister and I wanted to take our teens and husbands to Africa to experience the magic. We had a limited budget but big and specific expectations and by some miracle Walter was able to manage both.

Communication was excellent – I asked A LOT of questions and did a ton of research myself and Walter was extremely patient with me and very responsive. he was straight forward and extremely professional. Tour itself was excellent – an incredible experience and one never to be forgotten. Everything was spot on.

Professional, quick and top of the edge service!!!

From the very first contact we’re very happy about the respond time and quality of information from safari-online.com. Based on the received first tailor-made quote, which is a weblink with all the details about the flights, photos of the lodges etc. we knew that this is “our” partner for this trip. Our expectations were excelled!!!

Lukas (Germany)
Walter has always been an excellent communicator and has supported us fully

We have been to Africa for 24 of the last 27 years so know a bit about what is involved. Walter has arranged the details for the last couple of years, and has done a superb job. He is always quick to respond and comes up with answers immediately……..no evasive tactics, always head-on!

Karina was absolutely instrumental to our safari success.

Our experience with Safari Online was excellent. After becoming very frustrated trying to search for a safari destination on our own, we turned to Karina for help and she was a lifesaver.  We had an amazing safari adventure at the lodge–the experience of a lifetime–and are so grateful for her help. We literally couldn’t have done it without her!
