Itinerary

Days 1 – 3: An Island Hideaway
This safari begins with a mid-stream destination: the Islands of Siankaba, a stylish and luxurious lodge set on two private islands in the Zambezi River. Your suite is wonderfully secluded and has chairs positioned on its veranda for you to sit and enjoy the view. Victoria Falls is a 50-minute drive away – a complimentary tour is part of your stay here – which means you have a serene and unspoilt landscape to explore. Guides are on hand to take you on walking and biking tours, bird watching adventures and Zambezi sunset cruises. There is also a spa on site, offering massages, wellness and beauty treatments.
Days 4 – 5: Discover the Lower Zambezi
A direct flight means more time to relax at Old Mondoro, a small and relatively simple bush camp built on the banks of the lower Zambezi River. Resident expert guides and a lovely scenic landscape make a walking safari a good choice here, balanced by day and night game drives. Catering for a maximum of eight guests, this owner-managed camp sits in a wildlife-rich region of the park, a stronghold for many classic animals such as elephant, buffalo and lion. Sit on your private deck and listen to a chorus of bird calls and the snorts of hippos in the river below camp.

Days 6 – 8: A Riverside Camp
The adventure continues as you journey down the Zambezi River, your guide pointing out hippos, crocodiles and water birds on the way. Amanzi means ‘water’ and the camp is well-named, sited on a picturesque bend of the Zambezi. The sister camp of the larger Anabezi Lodge located nearby, Amanzi offers four tented suites, each with two double beds, a lounge, private bathroom and veranda with river views. The camp’s setting in a remote and little-visited part of the Lower Zambezi National Park adds to the sense of wilderness but you still have electric lighting and battery recharging facilities.
Day 9: The Journey Ends
After breakfast there may be time for a final safari activity before the hour-long road transfer to Jeki airstrip and your scheduled flight to Lusaka International Airport. The flight time to Lusaka is little more than half an hour; this safari comes to an end with your arrival there and your onward flight or accommodation arrangements.
